Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a studio?
I’ve creatively converted my living space into a mobile studio setup. Working in the comfort of my living room allows me to take on various projects while maintaining a cozy and inviting environment. I carefully schedule studio sessions to fully focus on each client’s unique needs and ensure a professional experience every time, showcasing my commitment to flexibility and dedication to delivering high-quality work.
Do you have a client closet?
I currently offer a client closet that is expanding to accommodate a variety of sizes and styles, aligning with my photography aesthetic. At this moment, the selection for women's clothing is somewhat limited, but I do have several girls' dresses and a range of boys' outfits in smaller sizes. Clients can view the complete client closet in the session guide, which is provided upon booking a shoot. If you would like to see the available options prior to booking, feel free to reach out.
When will we receive our photos?
After your photoshoot, I will upload your gallery to an online platform with basic edits applied. You will then have the opportunity to select the images you would like to include in your final gallery. Once you have made your selections, I will proceed to apply in-depth edits to those selected images. They will be returned to you via your online gallery, where you can download them. This entire process can take up to three weeks; however, I aim to have your images ready as soon as possible. Please keep in mind that the quicker you choose your favourite images, the quicker you will receive them for download.
What services do you offer?
At Jayde Effie Photography, I offer a range of services designed to capture the essence of your most cherished moments. My specialties include family shoots, maternity sessions, couples and engagement photography, children’s portraits, and general portraits. While I do not offer wedding photography or posed newborn shoots, I can provide lifestyle sessions for new families in the comfort of your home or in my studio, allowing for a relaxed and authentic experience. These sessions are tailored to showcase the unique bond and joy within your family as you embark on new journeys together.
Do you shoot weddings?
I specialise in portrait and lifestyle photography and do not offer wedding photography services due to the time constraints of managing a young family. The demands of capturing a wedding day, with its extensive hours and intricate details, require a level of commitment that simply doesn't align with my current family obligations. While I cherish the art of photography and the joy of capturing special moments, my priority must remain with my family during these formative years.
Can we bring along our fur baby to our shoot?
I absolutely love dogs and would love the opportunity to include them in your session. It’s important to note that some national parks, for instance, have restrictions that do not allow dogs. Just ensure that the location aligns with pet policies so we can capture those special moments together.
What time of the day do you shoot?
I shoot during golden hour, which is the hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset. This time of day offers the most flattering lighting for photography, as the sun casts a warm, soft glow that enhances colors and reduces harsh shadows. The gentle light creates a magical atmosphere, allowing for rich, dynamic images that beautifully capture the essence of the subject. By scheduling sessions during these hours, I ensure that each photograph is bathed in the ideal conditions to highlight natural beauty and create stunning visuals.
What happens if we get sick or it is forecast to rain on the day of our shoot?
If a client is feeling unwell on the day of the shoot, I understand the importance of prioritising their health. I am more than happy to reschedule the session for a later date that works for both parties. Open communication is key, and I will make every effort to accommodate your needs, ensuring that you can fully enjoy the experience when we do meet.
If rain is forecasted for the day of your shoot, I will reach out to you the day before to confirm whether we need to reschedule. My priority is to ensure that your experience is enjoyable and that we achieve the best possible results, so it's important to assess the weather conditions together. If it looks like the rain will affect our plans, we can discuss alternative dates or options that work for you.
